SATURDAY CLUBS - BRITISH MOTOR MUSEUM

Calling all budding young animators!

Join us as we launch our exciting new Saturday Club programme for children aged 7-14, starting with Let’s Animate! This five-week (term-time) club offers the chance for budding young animators to hone their skills, using our collection as inspiration. These two-hour-long workshops with our fantastic professional animator Gemma from Let’s Animate will guide children to create their own stop-motion animated short film with an automotive theme. There will be time spent getting up close to our collection, before putting their newfound skills to the test. Let’s Animate, a micro animation studio based at Fargo Village, Coventry, creates animated digital content and facilitates animation workshops for children and other groups. The Let’s Animate Saturday Club runs from 10am until midday from Saturday 24 February to Saturday 23 March 2024. Places are subject to availability and must be booked in advance as a block of five sessions. There are a maximum of 16 places available.  Workshops cost £100 per child for five two-hour-long sessions* *This includes entry to the Museum for one accompanying adult who must remain on-site for the duration of the club (don’t worry, there is a cafe and plenty of seating once you’ve explored all the cars!).  No previous experience or equipment is necessary. Older or younger siblings can be accepted on request.
