Arts Award Discover is a nationally recognised introductory arts qualification designed for children aged 5 and above.
Delivered by Let’s Animate through fun, hands-on workshops, it provides a gentle and engaging first step into the world of creativity while building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of achievement.
As the first level of the Arts Award, Discover encourages children to explore different art forms, take part in creative activities, and share what they enjoy with others.
Through our animation sessions, participants learn the basics of storytelling, character design, and simple animation techniques while creating their own short animated pieces.
During the programme, children:
- Take part in creative animation activities
- Explore and talk about artists and creative work
- Share their ideas and what they have made
- Record their creative journey in a simple, accessible way
Arts Award Discover is not exam-based and is designed to be inclusive and achievable for all abilities. On completion, participants receive an official Arts Award Discover certificate, accredited by Trinity College London, recognising their participation and creativity.
Our workshops focus on imagination, teamwork, and self-expression, making them ideal for schools, clubs, and community groups looking to introduce young learners to the arts in a structured, supportive, and inspiring environment.
The fee includes:
✔️ Your personal Arts Log
✔️ Your Arts Award Explore qualification (certified by Trinity College London)
✔️ Admin and moderation costs
Arts Award runs alongside our other animation sessions, so to complete your award, you’ll need to book onto these workshops. This ensures you receive hands-on guidance, develop new skills, and enjoy the full creative experience while working towards your recognised qualification.
